Basic Rider Course • BRC
Class Schedule: 16 hours
Course fee: $249
Sign up for 16 hours of classroom and on-cycle motorcycle training using the MSF Basic RiderCourse curriculum. Riders practice basic motorcycle skills and develop hazard avoidance skills as well. Classroom focus includes motorcycle controls, riding gear and street strategies. All riders over 18 who complete the course are able to waive further testing at DVS if they have a motorcycle permit and pass the skills test given on Sunday. All coaches are MSF-certified, ride extensively and are focused on helping each rider develop their skills. Scooters allowed.
You will need the items listed below:
• Full-fingered gloves
• Long pants
• Eye protection
• Long sleeved shirt or jacket
• Over-the-ankle footwear: (with little to no heel and no cloth or canvas.)

Experienced Rider Course • ERC
Class Schedule: 6 hours
Course fee: $99
This course is offered to experienced motorcyclists, of all ages, who own and operate a motorcycle. Graduates of the ERC may be entitled to a discount on their motorcycle insurance.
The ERC was developed to address the critical skills and knowledge needed for relatively low risk, enjoyable on-street motorcycling. The ERC teaches advanced braking and swerving skills and traction management.
Students provide their own motorcycle, proof of insurance and protective riding equipment.

• Proof of Motorcycle Insurance
• DOT Approved Helmet

Our RiderCoaches will provide you with helpful coaching tips to strengthen your abilities. We can evaluate your riding and focus on the areas that may need improvement. You can specify what aspects of your riding you wish to improve as well as discuss risk awareness and steps to manage your risk.
